As an industrial service provider for the railway industry, Schaltag designs and manufactures complex systems, equipment, plants, and cable systems for your innovative project. Thanks to the highly coordinated processes between our two plants in Switzerland and the Czech Republic, we optimally meet customer needs regarding local presence, expertise, flexibility, and cost.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLES: WE SUPPLY CABLE SYSTEMS - "ON TIME AND QUALITY"
Especially in recent years, the number of demanding projects involving rapid relocation of pre-assembly and cable assemblies has increased. These short-notice orders include the procurement and production of customer-specific assemblies and their corresponding just-in-time (JIT) delivery directly to the customer's final assembly line. Following very brief preparation phases, the necessary technical documentation and data sets were immediately transferred to initiate procurement. These phases typically take place at the customer's site with participants from both Schaltag locations. Thanks to existing relationships with key suppliers, all third-party agreements can be concluded quickly and efficiently across national borders. Construction and work preparations begin even while the design is still being finalized.
Together with the customer, the necessary technical documentation is finalized, infrastructure adjustments are implemented, project-specific training is initiated, and production begins. Thanks to fast and transparent coordination, as well as production runs extending beyond normal working hours, series production readiness can be achieved quickly in such projects, enabling further productivity increases in a timely manner. Very high quality and adherence to delivery commitments are of paramount importance to us at all times, even under pandemic conditions.
SHIPBUILDING: PRECISELY FITTED PROPULSION AND AUXILIARY OPERATION SOLUTIONS
The sea is notorious for its harsh conditions. Inside a ship, everything must be extra secure, and fire protection is a top priority for the approval of materials used. Our precision engineering and manufacturing for shipbuilding addresses this need directly: From the outset, we ensure that all requirements for protection classes, including halogen-free cables, are met. With heat-resistant products, we once again provide the right answer to questions about functionality under the most extreme conditions. Schaltag builds control systems for marine engine applications that meet all requirements. These include electric drives, for example, for whale-watching boats. We also develop specific auxiliary systems for more complex units such as theater stages on luxury liners.
